Colton Society
 
Named in honor of the founding Director of the Newark Technical School, Dr. Charles A. Colton, the Colton Society celebrates the spirit of innovation and achievement that has distinguished the New Jersey Institute of Technology since 1881. Through their exemplary leadership, service, and generosity, members of the Colton Society stand at the forefront of the university’s ongoing efforts to prepare talented students for success across the STEM fields and beyond.
 
The Colton Society was established in 2019 and membership is extended to those donors whose lifetime giving exceeds $500,000.

Loyal Highlander Society
 
The Loyal Highlander Society, formerly known as the Cornerstone Society, recognizes alumni and friends who support 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ for two consecutive years or more. Consistent donors provide the bedrock of support for sustaining our university’s decidedly upward trajectory.
 
The impact of the unwavering support of Loyal Highlander Society members continues to pay dividends for the next generation of Highlanders, ensuring that our world-class public polytechnic university remains the greatest and most accessible producer of technological talent and knowledge in New Jersey, now and in the future.

*Consecutive years of giving are considered on a fiscal year basis (July 1 to June 30). Donors who have made consecutive gifts since FY23 (July 1, 2022) are automatically members of the Loyal Highlander Society.
 
Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle recognizes donors who contribute guidance and support to 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ. As a member of the Leadership Circle, you are central to 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ's pursuit of excellence by providing significant, disposable resources that have an immediate impact for 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ students, faculty, academic programs and athletics.
Leadership Circle donors make annual contributions to 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ of $1,000 or more and are recognized in the university's Honor Roll of Donors and receive special communications and invitations to exclusive events.

1881 Society

The 1881 Society was created exclusively for those individuals and families who are planning or who have already chosen to leave a special legacy of leadership to 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ through bequests, retirement plans, charitable trusts, and other planned gift arrangements. Members of the 1881 Society receive a unique lapel pin, as well as preferred communications and exclusive invitations to events throughout the year.
