NJ SNAP & Other Benefits Programs

If you are seeking additional assistance, NJ SNAP (formerly known as food stamps), may be something you qualify for. See the resources below to help you check to see if you qualify for benefits, learn about the program, and see what other resources are available to you.

  • To check if you are eligible for NJ SNAP, visit 
  • If you are ON-CAMPUS or NEAR CAMPUS, see the list of NJ retailers in the HARRISON/KEARNY/NEWARK area that accept SNAP benefits . 

In addition to NJ Snap, there are a few other programs available that you or your family may qualify for: 

  • WorkFirst NJ (Temporary Assistants for Needy Families - TANF)
  • The New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children (WIC)
  • Families First Discovery Pass
