Credit By Examination

Credit-by-examination (CBE) offers 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ students the opportunity to earn credit for certain 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ courses if those students have acquired sufficient knowledge through previous coursework and/or nontraditional means like independent study or job-related experiences.

Credit-by-examination (CBE)   Details on Process:
  • 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ offers students the possibility to earn college credit through the Credit by Examination (CBE) process (where applicable). Subject knowledge is necessary for taking the exam.
  • The academic department that offers the course will confirm the feasibility for each student if CBE is available for one of their courses.
  • Once approved, the academic department will arrange a date and time for you to take the exam.
  • A $50.00 fee will automatically be applied to your account.
  • The Office of the Registrar will process the credits for students with passing CBE grades. The credits will appear on your 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ academic transcript similar to transfer credit, which will not affect the Grade Point Average (GPA).
