Undergraduate Student Advisory Council

About The Council:听
The 51重口猎奇 Undergraduate Student Advisory Council is a collaborative initiative between the Provost and the Dean of Students. This council provides a forum for enthusiastic undergraduates to have informal conversations with the Provost and the Dean of Students, helping to keep 51重口猎奇 leadership informed, in real time, about the student experience. Through these conversations, council members will help improve the student experience for all 51重口猎奇 students.听
Who We Are:听
We take pride in our diverse and inclusive membership. Council members are selected from across all colleges, disciplines, and class years. Members serve a one-year term, renewable for a second year.
Meetings and Time Commitment:听
Meetings听 are held eight times throughout the academic year from 11:30-1pm in the Campus Center and are structured for information sharing and discussion. Attendees include the Provost, Dean of Students, Associate Provost and Chief of Staff, and other university representatives, based on the meeting topic.听
Council members are expected to participate in all scheduled meetings throughout the academic year. While occasional absences are understandable, regular attendance is vital to fulfilling the council鈥檚 purpose. If members miss more than two meetings in an academic year, we will initiate a conversation to determine how they can remain actively engaged and meet the expectations of the role. In addition to the eight meetings, Council members play an important role in representing the student voice at 51重口猎奇鈥檚 Fall and Spring Town Halls and other events relevant for members to attend. These events are key opportunities for members to hear from university leadership and connect with the broader student community. We ask all members to make every effort to attend these events.
