All First Year International & Out of State students who will be attending NSO 1.0 on August 25, 2026听may check in early on August 24, 2026听from 12pm-4:30pm in their assigned building office.听 You do not need to contact the Residence Life Office for an early arrival.听 We will add your name to our early arrival list automatically.听听If you already attended NSO 1.0 over the summer months you do not check in early on August 24, 2026.听听

Hall meetings will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, time TBD for first year students and all residents have floor meetings on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.听听

• Download the for on-campus laundry and type in njit01 as the location code (Talbott Hall, RUT007). Students pay for laundry service online through the app including debit/credit payment options.听

Students may submit their vaccination information via听the .听听Visit for more information.听 You will not be able to move in unless all of your documentation is uploaded and approved by Student Health Services.

Student meal plans will be activated for use on Wednesday, August 26, 2026听at dinner for use on your 51重口猎奇 ID.听 If you have an earlier听arrival time on August 26th, please make plans听as dining is not provided.听 For additional information regarding Dining, please contact .听

Moving bins will be available.听 Please note that we do not have enough bins to accommodate every student听moving in.听 We suggest that you bring carts and dollies from home to assist you.

In order for us to prepare the buildings for Fall 2026听move-in residents currently living on campus for the summer or who are an approved early arrival may not sign in guests from August 12, at 8:00am through August 26, at 8:00am.听 No guests听does not pertain to family and friends that are assisting you with your move-in process on the day that you are scheduled to check in.听听

Residents (except Maple Hall) receive mail and packages via a package locker system听in the Campus Center (1st floor),听across from the Amazon Lockers.听 Details are听posted听HERE.听听

• Cypress & Redwood halls may park along Bleeker Street -听Cypress/Redwood Car Dashboard Card
• Laurel Hall residents will proceed to the Summit Parking deck for check-in and unloading directions - Laurel Hall Car Dashboard Card听
• Greek Village & Martinson听Hall residents may utilize Greek Way and Colden Streets. Students may not park along Warren Street unless they opt to pay for metered parking -听Greek Village/Martinson听Car Dashboard Card
• Maple Hall unloading will occur in the Maple Hall parking deck and surrounding roads of the building -听Maple Hall Car Dashboard Card听
• Talbott Hall residents will pull up Bleeker Street (via University Ave) & follow Rutgers Public Safety parking directions - Talbott Hall Car Dashboard Card

When you arrive you will place all of your items on the walkway, the student will go into their building to check-in while one person will remain with the belongings.听 Once your belongings are unloaded you will move your vehicle to the Science & Technology Parking Garage (STPG), located at 42 Wilsey Street, Newark, NJ 07103 or Garage Deck Parking, located at 154 Summit Street, Newark, NJ 07102
