CDS Advisory Board
The mission of the 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ Career Development Services (CDS) Advisory Board is to provide CDS leadership with broad-based advice and guidance on strategies and tactics.
We Support:
- Students: Exploring career options, gaining experience, and preparing for employment, service, or graduate study.
- Alumni: Refining career goals, strengthening job search skills, and pursuing meaningful employment.
- Employers: Connecting with qualified students, graduates, and alumni while building partnerships with 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ.
- Community: Linking students and alumni to service and civic engagement opportunities.
Advisory Board Role
The CDS Advisory Board provides strategic guidance that helps align our programs with workforce trends, employer needs, and student success. Members are invited to serve based on their expertise and commitment to advancing 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæâ€™s mission.
Member Responsibilities
Board members are expected to:
- Attend three annual meetings.
- Offer input on strategic planning, talent development, and employer engagement.
- Advise on business development and partnerships.
- Participate in subcommittees as needed.
- Recommend resources and opportunities that advance CDS objectives and student success.
Advisory Board Meetings
The board meets three times a year (January, April, and September) at 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ. Subcommittees may meet as needed, often via virtual conferencing.
Advisory Board Composition
The board is composed of:
- HR and recruiting professionals
- Hiring managers
- Alumni with industry experience
- Representatives from professional associations, community-based organizations, and government agencies
- 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ faculty, staff, and students
Members serve staggered two-year terms and contribute through their expertise and guidance.
