A UCAN-eligible Graduate Student Employee must meet the following criteria in order to be governed by the UCAN Agreement. He or she must be an employee who:
is a full-time, enrolled PhD student according to 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ doctoral program requirements (students registered for less than 9 credits must be certified full-time to be eligible);
is in good academic standing as defined by the Graduate Student Catalog;
is enrolled for an entire academic year in an approved 51ÖØ¿ÚÁÔÆæ PhD program (students admitted and enrolled in PhD programs beginning in the Spring semester of an academic year are deemed to meet this requirement);
has also received a full time scholarship for tuition and applicable fees based upon his/her academic credentials, and
is receiving an employment stipend for TA (Teaching Assistant) and/or RA (Research Assistant) services performed as an employee as set forth in a University approved job description as set in the Appendices of the (UCAN) Agreement.
Other Conditions for Support:
Nominated students registered for less than 9 credits must be certified full time (FT) by applying for FT certification in Highlander Pipeline.
Nominated students must accept their award as per the instructions in the offer letter/email.
